LEWISTON – Scott Corbitt has been named as the Port of Lewiston’s new General Manager. Working as the Valley Vision, Inc. President/CEO, Scott has showcased skills as an economic development leader, with strong experience in workforce development, business recruitment, and public relations. Scott is a highly respected individual who is committed to improving the quality of life and the quality of business in Lewiston and the LC Valley.
Scott’s diverse experiences have created a unique background that have prepared him for the role as General Manager. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Oceanography, from the University of Washington, Scott is well-versed on the current science involving fish and dams. As a former Navigator for the United States Navy, Scott understands the importance of safe navigation. Scott received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Montana School of Law and has expertise with over 11 years of litigation experience representing businesses and individuals.
The Port of Lewiston Commission and staff look forward to having the opportunity to work with Scott in serving Nez Perce County as Idaho’s Only Seaport.
Scott will be taking over for the current General Manager, David Doeringsfeld, as he retires. David has served as the Port’s General Manager for 28 years and has held a key role in major Port projects including the Industrial Dock Extension, the development of Southport, Harry Wall and Business Technology Park properties, and sale of land to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
