LEWISTON, IDAHO – The Board of Health, for Public Health – Idaho North Central District is pleased to announce the hiring of our new District Director.
“After taking on a national search for our next Public Health Director we are thrilled to welcome Kayla Sprenger as our new Director,” said Doug Zenner, Chairperson of the Board of Health. “Her extensive experience and dedication to public health will be invaluable in advancing our mission of promoting the health and well-being of our District.”
Chairman Zenner also stated that Ms. Sprenger has been with Public Health since 2011 with roles in preparedness, and managing the Community Health, Health Education, and Home Visiting programs and services for Public Health. With over 13 years of experience in public health, Kayla possesses the qualifications and expertise needed to lead the district’s public health efforts.
When asked about the new role, Ms. Sprenger stated, “I am honored to be selected by the Board of Health to continue to work alongside our dedicated public health staff to improve the health outcomes of our District. I look forward to collaborating with the counties and community partners to carry out the Mission of Public Health. I have big shoes to fill, and I am excited for the challenge.”
Ms. Sprenger officially assumes the position of Public Health District Director on June 3rd, 2024.
