(Lewiston, ID) – Former Warrior Baseball standout Ray Pedrina will return to Lewis-Clark State College this winter as the next Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions, announced by the LC State athletic department on Wednesday. He will join the Warrior athletic department in January.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ray Pedrina back to Lewis-Clark State College as our new Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions,” Athletic Director Ronnie Palmer said. “Ray is an outstanding individual and an exceptional professional whose connection to LC State runs deep as both an alumnus and a former student-athlete. His leadership, creativity and experience set him apart in a very competitive candidate pool, making him the clear top choice for this role. We look forward to seeing the impact Ray will make in enhancing our brand and engaging our community.”
After a stellar five-year career with the Warriors followed by five years engaging in the LC Valley community, Pedrina is ready to be part of the LC State team once again.
“I am excited to return to the college that gave me so much during my athletic career and continue contributing to the community that has always supported me,” Pedrina said. “I look forward to building on the strong connections and helping foster an environment where the student-athletes, institution and the local community can thrive.”
Pedrina spent the last five years with the City of Lewiston Parks and Recreation Department where he was the recreation supervisor for two years. As the recreation supervisor he oversaw the development, planning, and organization of all the recreation programs, activities, events and facilities the department offered. This included seeking revenue-generating options for the department such as program/facility fees, sponsorships and grants. He was integral to department-wide strategic planning and administrative projects such as the department’s marketing and sponsorship plan. Before his role as the recreation supervisor, Pedrina was a recreation coordinator for the department. In this job role, he was responsible for the organization and execution of the department’s adult sports programs and working with local organizations and community members for the use of the city’s ball fields and gym space.
Prior to his time with the City of Lewiston, Pedrina spent a year as the athletic director for the Lewis-Clark Valley Boys and Girls Club. He organized and executed the youth sports the Club offered along with assisting with getting program/league sponsors.
Pedrina graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelors in Kinesiology with minors in Exercise Science and Business Administration. He was part of the 2015 and 2017 NAIA National Championship Baseball teams and played from 2013-18. He is pursuing his Masters in Athletic Administration through Idaho State University. Pedrina stays close to the game in his spare time by helping out with the Lewiston High School and Lewiston American Legion programs.
Pedrina and his wife Annie were married in 2020 and are parents to twin daughters.
