MOSCOW – The Palouse Advocacy League and Optum are co-sponsoring Youth Mental Health First Aid on August 6, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the conference room at Gritman Medical Center.
The one-day course is designed to teach adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness in children. Training includes the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to young people who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis.
