Registration Open for Fourth Edition of the MACtivities Toolbox

MOSCOW — The City of Moscow and Moscow Arts Commission announced the opening of the registration period for the fourth edition of the MACtivities Toolbox.

The Toolbox features art supplies and curriculum designed to engage youth art makers with the process of creating blackout poetry. Toolboxes are available at no cost and include a guidebook with vocabulary and techniques, lesson cards for various ages, and art supplies needed to complete the activities. The curriculum is aligned with National Core Arts Standards and is focused on learning art elements, principles, and techniques.

The fourth edition MACtivities Toolbox curriculum was developed by Rachael Eastman, an artist and teacher on the Palouse. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the University of Wyoming in 2007, completed her Master’s degree in Fine Art in 2010 from the University of Idaho, and then went on to receive her K-12 Art Teaching Certification. Eastman currently teaches art in Lewiston as well as running her own studio in Moscow called Raven Hammer Studio.

The MACtivities Toolbox program is produced by the City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission with support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Registration closes on Fri., July 15 at 5 p.m. or once all Toolboxes have been reserved. To reserve a Toolbox, visit: https://moscowarts.submittable.com/submit
