Road closures are expected as Avista conducts planned maintenance in Lewiston

Spokane, Wash. August 16, 2023: Avista is conducting planned natural gas maintenance work in Lewiston starting on Monday, August 21, and ending on August 30. Road closures will occur, and traffic control will be in place. No service interruptions are expected as a result of this work.

 

During this time, the northbound lane of Snake River Avenue will be closed between Country Club Drive and the on-ramp leading to Bryden Canyon Road. The road closure will occur from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday.

 

In addition, Country Club Drive will be closed at the intersection of Snake River Avenue on Thursday, August 23 from 6:00 am to noon. Snake River Avenue will remain open and all traffic leaving the Elks will need to use Duthie Boulevard.

 

During this time, Avista crews will be performing maintenance on equipment in the area. Avista is continually updating equipment and infrastructure to increase the safety and reliability of its system.
