On December 7, 2023, Idaho County Dispatch received a report of a possible trespassing and burglary in the Warren area. Witnesses had seen a male subject enter the residence through a window and the owners of the residence were known to not be at the location.
Further investigation revealed this subject had been seen in Valley County with a moving vehicle that was disabled on a public roadway and had later been recovered as a stolen vehicle out of Boise, ID. Upon the moving van becoming disabled, the male subject was seen riding a motorcycle that also became disabled, and was also discovered as stolen out of Idaho County.
On December 8, 2023, Idaho County Deputies responded along with Valley County Deputies. All Deputies met with witnesses and reporting parties on scene and proceeded to make contact with the subject at the cabin he had trespassed at. Deputies located the male subject inside the cabin and he was placed under arrest and transported to Grangeville to the Idaho County Jail.
Ryan Cox, age 33, of Boise, ID, was arrested for Felony Burglary, Felony Possession of Burglary tools, Criminal Trespassing and Resisting and Obstructing.
