Six Warrior Tennis Players Earn CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) released the inaugural CSC Academic All-District Tennis teams on Tuesday and six LC State student-athletes earned the honor.

Alexis Maison, Lina Boylan, Maria Eduarda Santos da Silva and Beatriz Lambru represented the Warrior women, while Austin Swing and Cade Edwards earned accolades on the men’s side.

“It is always nice to see how well the student-athletes can put together their academic performance,” Head Coach Kai Fong said. “They will remember their academic achievements just as well as their athletic performance.”

2023 marks the first year that CSC separated tennis into its own category outside of the at-large section. A student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and been on a college roster in that sport for two years.
