Did you know there’s a group of witches in the Lewis-Clark Valley? They call themselves the Spirit Night Coven. Don’t worry though, these are good witches trying to help the community. The coven is actually is a registered 501(c)3 on a mission to end period poverty in the LCV.
“We believe having free access to menstruation hygiene products is a fundamental human right,” Local Witch Katie Hossner said. “That’s why we aim to provide free menstruation hygiene products to anyone who menstruates in the Lewis-Clark Valley”
The Coven has a free women’s hygiene shop set up on their website, “The LCV Period Closet,” where women can get period products, pregnancy tests, soap, and more. It’s all free and delivered to the door of girls and women in Lewiston, Clarkston, and Asotin. The Coven now has a GoFundMe to bolster the supply of the Closet. Last year the Coven helped 30 women get the products they needed.
