Spokane, WA – On March 7,2023, around 12:30 PM, officers were dispatched to a residence near the 2400 block of N. Madelia St. for a welfare check. Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased male and female inside the residence. SPD’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to the scene. The initial investigation indicates the deaths may be the result of a murder-suicide.

This is an active investigation and more information will be released at a later date. The identity of the deceased persons and the cause and manner of death will be released by the medical examiner.
