Spokane Valley – On March 20, 2023, at approximately 4:40 pm, Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a panic alarm at the Horizon Credit Union, 201 N. Mullan Road in Spokane Valley. Soon after, an employee reported the credit union was robbed by a male who handed a teller a note stating she would be shot if she didn’t give him money.
Arriving Deputies spoke with the employees as additional Deputies, including Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, set up a perimeter to conduct a search for the suspect, last seen going to the east on foot. Deputies contacted the employees and learned a weapon was not actually seen. The teller, approached by the suspect, said she was afraid for her life and thought the suspect would kill her if she did not follow his instructions.
A K9 Unit arrived and began a track, and SRASU Deputies arrived and utilized UAVs to assist, but the suspect was not located.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’05” tall, wearing gray sweatpants, a black sweatshirt with an orange design on the front, black shoes, and a black beanie with white beads, possibly palm trees. He was wearing a black mask that covered half his face and sunglasses.
