St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and Lewis-Clark State College Partner to Host “Knock Cancer Out of the Park” Event

LEWISTON – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC or St. Joseph’s) is proud to announce its partnership with Lewis-Clark State College (LC State) to host the inaugural “Knock Cancer Out of the Park” event on May 13, 2024. The event will occur at Harris Field on the LC State campus in Lewiston, Idaho, on the first day of the NAIA Baseball Opening Round, presented by Avista.

“This is an amazing opportunity for students, staff and the community to come out and watch our hometown team while supporting a great cause. We are thrilled to be a part of this special event,” Brooke Henze, Athletic Director of Lewis-Clark State College, said.

St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is the largest hospital in the Lewiston area and the largest full-service medical center between Boise and Spokane. The hospital has a comprehensive cancer program that includes medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology and serves patients from North Central Idaho, Southeast Washington, Northeast Oregon, and more.

“The event will bring awareness to all cancer types and celebrate cancer survivors, caregivers and providers. And, we will have a great day of baseball,” Desiree Silva, Director of Marketing and Communications at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, said.

Commemorative “Knock Cancer Out of the Park” t-shirts and game tickets will be available for cancer survivors on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancer survivors can email [email protected] for more information. The gates will open one hour prior to game times, which will be announced in May. Staff from St. Joseph’s and local cancer non-profits will provide cancer awareness information.
