Structure Fire at 838 Main St. in Lewiston

LEWISTON – At 10:11 pm the fire department was dispatched to a fire alarm from 840 Main St. First arriving units found smoke and fire coming from the adjacent building at 838 Main St.

Crews made entry and attacked the fire with a 1 3/4″ pre-connected hose line. Fire knockdown occurred approximately 10 minutes after arrival. Crews remained on the scene for 2 hours to overhaul operations.

The department responded with 3 engines, 1 ladder truck, 3 ambulances, 1 service unit, and 5 chief officers, totaling 21 personnel. Clarkston Fire, Asotin Co. Fire, and Clearwater Fire departments assisted with 3 engines and 1 rehab vehicle.

The cause is currently under investigation. Damage estimated at $120,000. No citizens or firefighters were injured.
