Current situation:
The number of buildings destroyed by the Texas Fire has increased. Four primary residences have been lost and six outbuildings have been confirmed lost.
Evacuations for the Cedar Ridge, Texas Ridge, Linden, all the way down Highway 3 and across the river are still in effect. P1 and Texas Ridge remain closed. Evacuations are being handled by the Latah County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of Latah County Emergency Management. For more information regarding the evacuations go to:

Overcast conditions and moderated temperatures aided in fire fighting efforts today. Crews continued constructing containment lines, but the fire is still considered 0% contained. As constructed firelines are completed and the fire perimeter mopped up and secured, the percent of containment will increase.
Four helicopters, one fixed wing Air Attack asset, six hand crews and nine engines worked the fire today.
There remains a chance of thunderstorms within the fire area this evening. These storms have yet to materialize and fire crews are monitoring the conditions.
The fire remains under investigation.
