The Lolo Motorway and Magruder Corridor to Undergo Road Maintenance Early August

The Lolo Motorway (Forest Service Road #500) and Magruder Corridor (Forest Service Road #468) are scheduled to undergo road maintenance work beginning in early August. Contractors and Forest Service employees are finalizing contract specifics for the scheduled work; however, please be advised that maintenance work will impact travel on both the Lolo Motorway and Magruder Corridor on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests.

Additional details regarding the scope of work and impacts to travel will be available next week, so be on the lookout for those updates. This work is part of a multi-phase plan to repair and preserve the historic character and access to this high-elevation, backcountry routes.

This much-needed road maintenance is made possible by the Great American Outdoors Act – a historic piece of legislation that gave the USDA Forest Service new opportunities to deliver benefits to the American public through major investments in recreation infrastructure, public lands access, and land and water conservation.
