Thousands of WSU graduates being honored at commencement

By RJ Wolcott, WSU News & Media Relations

Pullman, WA. — More than 4,400 students from across the Washington State University system are graduating this spring.

Commencement ceremonies honoring these students as well as the more than 2,000 Cougars who were awarded degrees at the conclusion of the fall 2022 semester will run May 4–13. Each physical campus as well as WSU Global Campus will host its own commencement events.

This spring’s graduating class includes nearly 3,500 undergraduates, 336 masters degree candidates, 241 PhD recipients, 69 medical doctors and 128 veterinarians.

“Spring is one of the most exciting times of the year in the WSU community, culminating with the graduation of exceptional Cougs who are wrapping up one chapter in their lives and beginning another,” said WSU President Kirk Schulz. “Whether they are continuing their educational journey or heading into the workforce, we are proud of all that our new graduates have accomplished and want them to know they will always be a part of the Cougar family.”
