THREE INDICTED FOR THEIR ROLES IN ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER OF LEWISTON MAN

On July 14, 2023, the Lewiston Police Department responded to an injured person call in North Lewiston. Upon arrival, Officers located the victim unconscious with multiple stab wounds. Through a multi-month investigation, LPD Detectives were able to determine three suspects who are alleged to have been involved. This week, a Nez Perce County Grand Jury handed down indictments for Timothy W Allen (42 yoa, Kuna, ID), Robert J LaPlante (57 yoa, Clarkston), and Kelly A Wilson (58 yoa, Clarkston). All three of these individuals have been taken into custody and are currently awaiting court dates. Mr. Allen and Mr. LaPlante were indicted for Attempted First Degree Murder and Ms. Wilson was indicted for Accessory to Attempted First Degree Murder.

“Over the last several months, the Lewiston Police Department worked tirelessly to bring justice to the victim. They have spent hundreds of hours and interviewed dozens of witnesses to bring this case to the grand jury. I want to personally thank all the Officers, Troopers, and Deputies who worked throughout the last 48 hours to take these three into custody. I also want to specifically thank Detective Corporal Cody Bloomsburg, Detective Brian Erickson, and Chief Deputy April Smith for the extra work put into obtaining theses indictments,” said Prosecutor Justin Coleman
