Three People Injured in Three-Car Collision West of LaCrosse

LACROSSE – On Friday, October 7 at 1:26 p.m., Washington State Patrol responded to a three-car, injury collision on SR 26 at milepost 99, 4 miles west of LaCrosse.

According to a police report, 18-year-old Kaitlyn Harris of Tacoma, Washington was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla westbound when she attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle. While in the eastbound lane, Harris struck two vehicles, a 2014 Kenworth driven by 67-year-old Thomas Duman of Craigmont and a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 90-year-old Joyce Kubitza of Blaine, Washington.

Harris and her passenger, 18-year-old Shaniah Roberts of Lakewood, Washington were transported by ambulance to Whitman Hospital. Kubitza having also sustained unknown injuries was transported to Whitman Hospital and then airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital. Duman was reportedly uninjured.

All drivers and occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
