Total snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches with the highest accumulations above 2000 feet. Snow may mix with rain late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. WHERE…Gifford, Pomeroy, Peck, Lewiston Grade, Culdesac, Lapwai, Alpowa Summit, Lewiston, and Clarkston. WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 4 AM PST Thursday. IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Slow down and use caution while traveling.

WHERE…Orin-Rice Road, Airway Heights, Plummer, Springdale-Hunters Road, Kettle Falls, Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, Ione, Athol, Sandpoint, Tiger, Colville, Chewelah, Eastport, Fruitland, Flowery Trail Road, Potlatch, Genesee, Worley, Bonners Ferry, Cheney, Metaline Falls, Post Falls, Spokane Valley, Davenport, Clark Fork, Rockford, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Deer Park, Fairfield, Priest River, Northport, Newport, Downtown Spokane, Moscow, and Metaline. WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 4 AM PST Thursday. IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Heaviest snow rates of between 0.5 and 1 inch per hour will occur early Wednesday morning into the morning commute period and then again Wednesday afternoon into the evening commute period. Snow rates will be closer to the 1 inch per hour during the Wednesday evening commute.
