“The Moscow Police Department has long been a partner with the US Secret Service and they have made cyber-crime and digital forensics a priority,” said Mr. Uhrig. “In 2022, Moscow Police Detective Lawrence Mowery entered the National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI) training program by attending our five-week in-residence basic school in Hoover, Alabama. Since then, he has continued to attend more training and has become a subject matter expert in the region on all things cyber. In 2023, Det. Mowery conducted more digital forensic examinations than any other NCFI-trained graduate in northern Idaho, eastern Washington, and western Montana. He examined 261 digital devices with more than 66 terabytes of data. The US Secret Service is proud to honor Detective Mowery for his superior performance and his consistent dedication to excellence.”
