(Lewiston, ID) Formerly known as Floor Covers International; Idaho Floors is a local family owned flooring company located at 1905 19th Ave in Lewiston. The exciting reason for their recent name change is because the company is now under new ownership.
“I worked for Floor Covers International for 16 years, and then bought the previous owner out last April,” said Jeremiah Wynott , “We are doing great in our first year. Things are going really well.”
Originally from Alaska, Wynott moved to the valley in 1995 to play basketball at LCSC. He later went on to meet his wife and together they had their daughter Kendel Wynott and their son Kase Wynott.
“Both of our kids were born in Cottonwood,” said Wynott. “My daughter Kendel works here, and she will hopefully go on to take over the business someday. When she is not working, she spends most of her time barrel racing and taking care of horses, and she is really good at it.”
Their son Kase Wynott is best known for his record breaking basketball season at Lapwai High School this past year. During his senior season at Lapwai High School, Wynott broke Idaho’s all-time high school basketball scoring record with 2962 points. Wynott plans to attend WSU this fall to continue his basketball career.
“We are definitely involved in the community,” Jeremiah Wynott went on to say. “I have coached basketball at Highland, Culdesac, and Lapwai. I have also done a lot of AAU coaching, and we love supporting 4H and other local sports whenever we get the chance.”
“I just want to let the community know that we are under new ownership here, and it’s a family business,” Wynott said when asked what message he would like to leave with the community. “ We are small when it comes to the amount of employees we have, and we really concentrate on trying to make the buying and installation process a pleasant one for all of our customers.
