CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the 2022 All-Cascade Conference Volleyball teams on Thursday, and LC State had three representatives among the three teams. Grecia Ung Enriquez earned first-team honors, Jada Wyms was voted to the second team and Lisi Langi was tabbed for honorable mention. “With the amount of talent in this conference, having three of our student-athletes show up on the All-Cascade Conference list is a huge accomplishment for these individuals, our program, and for LC State,” Head Coach Shaun Pohlman said. “There are certainly a lot of aspects that go into creating opportunities to get accolades such as this and it doesn’t go without hard work, perseverance, sacrifice, grit, so on and so forth. Of course, as with any individual award in a team sport, it is important we recognize the efforts of these individuals as well as their teammates. We can all be proud of the work we’ve put in and see it acknowledged.” Ung Enriquez put together another standout season for the Warrior women and earned first-team recognition for the second straight year. The sophomore, known for her top-spin serves and hard-hit kills, leads LC State in kills (310), kills per set (3.37), points (364), and points per set (3.96) this season. She is second in the conference in services aces per set (0.47) with 43 total. Defensively, the Sonora, Mexico, native has collected 115 digs and put up 20 blocks. |
