Wanted Culdesac Man Arrested Tuesday

On May 24, 2022 in the early morning hours Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that was being driven by a subject involved in a situation in Lewiston. The driver was also wanted on outstanding warrants for Burglary, Stalking, and 1st Degree Arson. The driver, Mohammad N. Kayed, 36, of Lewiston led deputies in a pursuit to the Culdesac area where he crashed the vehicle and fled on foot.

About 1430 hours today tips from the public led Deputies back to the area of Cottonwood Creek Road near Culdesac. Kayed was located by an Idaho State Police Trooper on Chambers Road. Two Deputies began searching the area on foot and were able to locate Kayed who again tried to avoid capture by running. He was unsuccessful at his attempt to evade capture and was taken into custody quickly.

Kayed will be facing more charges related to the pursuit and this morning’s incident in Lewiston at a later time.
