Warrior Athletics Joins in Warrior Giving Day

Lewiston, ID- Lewis-Clark State College is set to host its annual Warrior Giving Day starting Tuesday, April 4, at 8 a.m. and concluding 3:33 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5. The 1,893 minutes of giving will benefit all student-athletes from 13 sport programs. During this designated time of generosity, alumni and friends of LC State can contribute gifts of any amount to multiple areas or the sport of their choosing.

To give to LC State Athletics specifically, supporters can visit lcwarriors.com/donate and select a designation. One hundred percent of donations will go directly to the program of choice, while the Warrior Athletic Association remains an option to provide funds that support all Warrior athletic teams.

“Friends, fans and alumni, this is your chance to help further the Warrior Way,” Athletic Director Brooke Henze said. “Thank you to the individuals and sponsors who helped start us off and thank you to all who donate. It’s always a great day to be a Warrior.Supporters can make their dollar go further by supporting the following matches and challenges:

  • Dance Challenge: For every five donors to dance, $1,250 will be unlocked from President Pemberton, up to $2,500.
  • Baseball Match: Jill Balmer will match 1:1, up to $1,000, in donations from former baseball parents. Jill also challenges all parents of former       student-athletes, to give to their sport programs.
  • Women’s Basketball Locker Room Match: A former women’s basketball player, who played for LC State in 1975-76, will match 1:1, up to $5,000 toward the renovation of the locker room.
  • Cross Country Match: Aces Auction will match 1:1 for donations made to the cross country program, up to $250.
  • Volleyball Challenge: After the first 10 gifts are received for the volleyball locker room renovation, a $1,000 gift from an anonymous donor will be unlocked.
  • Track & Field Match: Aces Auction will match 1:1, up to $250, for donations made to the track & field program.
  • WAA Annual Scholarships Challenge: After the first six donations are made to support the Warrior Athletic Association’s annual scholarship fund, a $500 gift from Athletic Director Brooke Henze and Mike Henze will be unlocked.
  • WAA Endowed Scholarships Match: An anonymous donor will match 1:1 up to $7,000, for all donations made to the Warrior Athletic Association’s endowed scholarship fund.
  • WAA Annual Scholarships Match: An anonymous donor will match 1:1 up to $10,000 for all donations made to the Warrior Athletic Association’s annual scholarship fund.
  •  Athletic Director Excellence Fund Match: Brad and Jena Rice will match 1:1 for donations made to the AD Excellence Fund, up to $1,000.
  • Dance Match: Up to $1,000 will be matched 1:1 by an anonymous donor in honor of Ezra, Talitha, Ephraim & Elliot.
  • Golf Challenge: After the first five donations are made to support golf, a $100 gift from LC State Golf coach Zach Anderson will be unlocked.
  • Men’s Basketball Match: Supporter “2kidsfromlewiston” will match 1:1, up to $3,000 for donations made to the men’s basketball team.
  •   Baseball Challenge: After 10 donations to Warrior Baseball are received, $200 will be unlocked from the baseball coaches.
  •  Tennis Challenge: After eight donations are received, $1,000 will be unlocked from “2kidsfromlewiston”.Volleyball Challenge: “2kidsfromlewiston” will match 1:1, up to $250 for donations to the volleyball locker room project.
