(Lewiston, ID) There may be frost on the field and first pitch is still three months away, but when the season kicks off in February LC State Baseball will start take the field as the No. 7 in the NAIA.
The Warriors fell in the NAIA Opening Round, presented by Avista, last season after back-to-back appearances in the title game of the Avista NAIA World Series. LC State returns the bulk of its offense in 2025 along with an experienced bullpen. Fresh faces will fill out the starting rotation after both Cascade Conference Co-Pitchers of the Year, Drake George and Shane Spencer, left LC State to join the professional ranks.
Washington State visited Lewiston for an exhibition in the fall that saw newcomer Evan Canfield throw a solid few innings on the mound. Brandon Cabrera had the loudest hit of the contest with a home run into the left field bleachers.
CCC member British Columbia, who defeated LC State in the Opening Round last season, is ranked No. 24. The teams faced off 11 times last season with the Warriors winning the first 10 matchups.
A full preview of the season will be available in January.
