Warrior Men’s Tennis Wins 14th Straight Over Whitworth

SPOKANE – The Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis team made it 14 straight victories against NCAA Division III opponent Whitworth with a 6-3 win on Saturday.

The win pushed the Warrior record back over .500 to 12-11 on the season. It is the third straight victory for LC State.

The Warriors started the day with two wins in doubles action. Nell Rollin and Daniel Tevez teamed up for an 8-5 win in No. 2 doubles against Matthew Froslan and Ethan Warring. Austin Swing and Joel Barba won in No. 3 doubles 8-2.

Itaru Kikuchi dropped the opening set, but rallied for a 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 win against Ethan Warring in No. 2 singles. Nell Rollin battled back after also losing his first set in No. 4 singles action to defeat Jess Weaver 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Daniel Tevez earned a straight set win in No. 5 singles over Colby Cinqmars 6-2, 6-3. Eduardo Silva won in No. 6 singles 7-5, 6-2.
