Warrior Tennis Teams Play Lindsey Wilson- See the Results

Warrior Men Earn Doubles Point in Loss to No. 13 Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The (RV) Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis team earned the doubles point against No. 13 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), but fell 6-1 on Wednesday.
The loss marked the third consecutive for the Warriors and dropped their season record to 9-9.
In a match that was postponed a day because of weather, Itaru Kikuchi and Alvaro Camino took the No. 1 doubles victory against Jan Silhavy and Miquel Perez 6-4. Rafael Bonnet de Larbogne and Daniel Tevez secured the doubles point with a No. 3 doubles win 6-4. Austin Swing and Nell Rollin battled in a 7-5 loss in No. 2 doubles.
Rollin took his first set 6-3 in No. 4 singles before losing to Perez 6-4, 6-1 in the following two sets. Tevez dropped his No. 5 singles contest to Aldo Randazzo 7-5, 6-2. Bonnet de Larbogne lost 6-3, 6-2 to Jaume Barcelo in No. 2 singles in the longest match of the day, clocking in at one hour and 47 minutes.

Perez Wins in Singles Against No. 11 Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Marina Perez earned a singles victory against No. 11 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in a 6-1 loss for the Lewis-Clark State Women’s Tennis team on Wednesday.
Perez won in No. 5 singles against Mayra Gisone in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (3). Heidi Moyo pushed her match to a third-set modified-tiebreaker in No. 4 singles, but lost to Darija Mladenovic 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 in a match that took over two hours to complete.
Beatriz Lambru battled in both sets before losing to Mariangeles Mateu in No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-4. Rayana Shah (No. 1 singles) and Anne Mathema (No. 6 singles) were both swept in their opening sets before making it more interesting in their second sets. Shah lost to Anastasiia Vorobiova 6-0, 6-4. Mathema fell to Martina Cortal 6-0, 7-5.
Doubles did not go LC State’s way as Perez and Maria Eduarda Santos da Silva were the only doubles team to win a game. The duo lost in No. 3 doubles 6-2.
The Warriors dropped to 3-16 on the season with the loss.
