LEWISTON – The Lewis-Clark State Women’s Tennis team blanked Highline Community College in a non-team scoring match at the LCSC Tennis Center on Friday.
All three doubles teams won by the same 6-1 score. Anne Mathema and Bonolo Molefe defeated Kinsey Lockhart and Riley Cordova in No. 1 doubles. Naiara Montero and Paige Noble-Lucas teamed up for a win in No. 2 doubles. Larissa Couto and Maria Eduarda Santos da Silva won in No. 3 doubles.
Gwyn Heim dropped only four games in a 6-1, 6-3 win over Lockhart in No. 1 singles. Noble-Lucas shut out Cordova in No. 2 singles. Silva only lost a single game in her No. 3 singles match against Henleigh Elder.
Montero earned a win in No. 4 singles against Sophia Crosby 6-3, 6-3. Molefe battled through a tough first set in No. 5 singles before pitching a shutout in the second in a 6-4, 6-0 win. Couto blanked Denali Terri in the opening set in a 6-0, 7-5 win in No. 6 singles.
