(Pullman, WA) A 45-year-old Pullman man has been arrested for felony vandalism for allegedly slashing the tires on over a dozen vehicles on College Hill.

Pullman Police have been investigating a rash of tire slashings in the Spaulding Street area for several weeks.  A female victim set up a surveillance camera to watch her vehicle after her tires were slashed.  Another round of tire slashings occurred earlier this week and the woman was victimized for a second time.  Her camera was able to capture the suspect slashing her tires.  Police were able to identify the suspect.  Benjamin Rinehart was arrested by officers for felony 2nd-degree malicious mischief.  Rinehart was booked into the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Colfax and is set to make his first court appearance this afternoon.
