60 Year Old Man Arrested Outside Kooskia for Possession & Driving Without a License

(Kooskia, ID) On December 23, 2024, at approximately 2:10 PM, an Idaho County deputy was on routine patrol  in the Kooskia area and stopped a vehicle on Highway 12 for a routine traffic violation. 

A check of the driver showed his driving privileges were suspended, and the driver was arrested.  While waiting for the tow truck, K9 Millie alerted on the vehicle. A search located  methamphetamine and paraphernalia. 

Kenneth Vopat, age 60, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor  possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor driving without privileges, and misdemeanor operating  a vehicle with no insurance (second offense).
