The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office made the following felony arrests this weekend.
On February 3, 2023, around 3:00 PM, Idaho County deputies took a walk-up report of a traffic offense which occurred on Main Street in Kooskia. The reporting party told the deputy he had been passed by a black car in a no passing zone in excess of the speed limit.
An Idaho County deputy and K9 Millie made contact with the occupants of the vehicle at the Kooskia Mart. K9 Millie was deployed and alerted on the vehicle.
Artiom Latish, age 21, 0f Sacramento, California, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and cited for misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
Aaron Galitskii, age 19, of Sacramento, California, was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine and cited for misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
On February 4, 2023, around 5:45 AM, Idaho County deputies were on routine patrol on Old Highway 7, when a vehicle approached the marked patrol vehicle at a high rate of speed.
After the vehicle passed the deputy, it was unable to maintain in its lane and the deputy initiated a traffic stop.
Ryan Frost, age 26, of Grangeville, Idaho was arrested for felony driving under the influence and cited for misdemeanor reckless driving.
