Moscow, ID- Moscow City Attorney, Mia Bautista was presented with a Service Award from the Idaho State Bar Board of Commissioners in recognition of her exemplary service to the legal profession and to Idaho citizens during this year’s Idaho State Bar’s annual meeting in Boise. Prior to being appointed as the first woman to serve as City Attorney with the City of Moscow in 2018, Ms. Bautista served 10 years as Deputy Prosecutor with the Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office, and 6 years as Deputy Prosecutor with the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Bautista is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, currently serves as a member of the Idaho State Bar’s Character and Fitness Committee, on the board of the Idaho Municipal Attorney’s Association, and as the Idaho representative for the International Municipal Lawyers Association. Ms. Bautista previously served on the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victims Assistance and as a volunteer Instructor for the FBI’s Digital Evidence Moot Court Program.
