(Pullman, WA) A 19-year-old Moscow man accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material has agreed to plead guilty in federal court.
Cameron Kittell has entered into a plea agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice in federal court in Idaho. The deal calls for Kittell to plead guilty to distribution of child pornography. The agreement recommends a sentence of no less than ten years in federal prison. The maximum sentence is 20 years.
Kittell was arrested by Moscow Police last July after officers received a CyberTip that he was sharing child sex abuse material online over Snapchat. Officers seized his phone and determined that Kittell was sharing the illegal material on the social media platform.
The charges against Kittell began locally as a state case in Latah County Second District Court before federal prosecutors handed down an indictment in U.S. District Court.
