A plethora of Recalls Across the United States This Week

NATIONWIDE – Throughout the week, brands such as Kia, Clorox, and various dry shampoo companies have recalled their products to avoid causing harm to any more Americans.

Aerosol dry shampoo brands Bed Head, Dove, Suave, TRESemme, Rockaholic, and Nexxus have recalled products made before October 2021. It has been uncovered the cans “may contain elevated levels of benzene”, which is a chemical that is known to be naturally occurring in Carcinogens (cancer).

If you have been using one of these recalled dry shampoos, contact the company for a refund with a photo of the 12-digit UPC code, as well as, the nin-character lot code.

Kia has also recalled 71,000 of their 2008 and 2009 Kia Sportage SUVs this week as there is now a risk the vehicles could catch on fire, regardless of if it is running. Individuals that own one of these vehicles should park away from structures, trees, and other vehicles. Kia is offering free repairs to these individuals and owners are encouraged to contact their dealership.

Lastly, Clorox, the owner of Pine-Sol recalled 37 million units of Pine-sol cleaning products this week as recent reports have shown they may contain a bacteria that runs the risk of infection to individuals with weakened immune systems.
