LEWISTON, Idaho – Head Coach Austin Johnson announced the signing of the second incoming freshman for the 2024-25 season in Alaska’s Gatorade State Player of the Year Kellen Jedlicka. The Grace Chrisitan High School product will join the Warriors in the fall.

Jedlicka had an illustrious career with the Grizzlies. During his tenure he helped the team to a 91-21 overall record, three conference championships and four 3A State Tournament appearances. The trips to State included two championship appearances along with the 2023 Alaska State Championship. During his time at GCS he scored 1,362 points.

“Super excited to be going to LC State,” Jedlicka said. “It reminds me a lot of Grace Christian as I feel very comfortable with the players and coaches. During my visit they made me feel like I was part of the team already and encouraged me like I was their teammate.”

Jedlicka’s senior season was particularly memorable as he scored more than 600 points and led the Grizzlies to a 23-6 record. During the year he averaged of 23 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game. He shot more than 60% from the floor and 38% from 3-point range. He was named Peninsula Conference MVP and awarded the prestigious Gatorade State Player of the Year award for Alaska.

“We are incredibly excited about adding Kellen,” Johnson said. “He is a great kid from a great family and was really well coached during his time at GCS by Jason Boerger. Coach Karlberg did a great job of building a relationship with Kellen as he is also a GCS alum. Kellen had a phenomenal high school career and we expect him to have an impact here at LC. He has a high IQ and versatile skill set which fits with what we were looking for. He is familiar with playing and working through high expectations which I believe will set him up well for his time at LC. He is a great teammate end exhibits a lot of leadership traits in terms of understanding the big picture aspects of what it takes to win. We are pumped to be a part of his journey here at LC.”

Jedlicka joins Dylan Skaife as part of the 2024 class of signees.
