All Warrior Teams Earn NAIA Scholar-Team Status for 2022-23

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After another strong academic school year for the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors, all 14 teams were tabbed NAIA Scholar-Teams.

For the second straight year, baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s tennis and volleyball met the criteria set forth by the national office.

“We could not be prouder of the work our student-athletes put in both in competition and in the classroom,” LC State Athletic Director Brooke Henze said. “This is a direct reflection of our coaches and the emphasis they put on academics.”

Every Warrior program earned the title of NAIA Scholar-Team. Women’s cross country held the highest GPA of LC State teams at 3.69, and men’s golf finished the year with a 3.62 to lead the male programs.

NAIA Scholar Teams must have a 3.0 GPA and include every varsity athlete certified as eligible in this sport and listed on any eligibility certificate submitted to conference/CAC (Independent)/unaffiliated grouping eligibility chairs during this academic year. Fall and spring grades from the current year are to be used when calculating the team GPA.
