MOSCOW – The City of Moscow Community Events Division and Moscow Farmers Market Commission presented the selected artist and their artwork for the 2023 Farmers Market Poster.
Five finalists were selected out of 24 submissions by the Farmers Market Commission to go to a public vote. The finalist who received the most votes is Wendy Schmidt with 428 votes, who submitted artwork depicting animated produce on the back of a truck. Out of 1,257 total votes placed, 34% of those votes went toward Schmidt’s submitted piece. Not only will Schmidt’s artwork be featured on this year’s Farmers Market Poster, but the original art piece will also be accepted into the City of Moscow Portable Art Collection.
The 2023 Market Poster will be available at the Farmers Market information tent throughout the season, while supplies last.
Opening day of the Moscow Farmers Market is May 6 and continues every Saturday through October, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Farmers Market takes place in downtown Moscow, on Main Street, and in Friendship Square
