Asotin County and Lewiston City Library Work With the League of Women Voters Plan to Register Voters in the LC Valley

ASOTIN – On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters ahead of the midterm elections.

National Voter Registration Day partners include Asotin County Library, Lewiston City Library, and the LC Valley League of Women Voters. On September 20, they will engage their community and register eligible voters at the following locations:

  • Asotin County Library, Downtown Branch at 417 Sycamore St, Clarkston from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Lewiston City Library at 411 D Street, Lewiston from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

National Voter Registration Day is a national nonpartisan civic holiday that aims to make sure no one who wants to cast a ballot, regardless of political affiliation, misses the opportunity due to a registration problem.

Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most fundamental right – the right to vote.

More than 4.5 million Americans have registered to vote on this day since the inaugural National Voter Registration Day.
