Asotin County Community Services to Hold Resource Fair for High School Students with Disabilities

CLARKSTON – Asotin County Community Services in coordination with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and Developmental Disabilities Administration & Rural Resources will hold the Asotin County Resource Fair on October 12 at 5:30 pm at the Asotin County Fire District Station in Clarkston.

The one-evening event is intended to provide work preparedness information to high school students with disabilities (504 Plans, Individualized Educational Plans, or a documented disability) and their families.

Students in attendance will learn about eligibility requirements for DVR career readiness services as well as Job Foundations, paid summer work opportunities, and paid work during school options for students with disabilities.

A meal, books, and transportation from coordinating schools are provided. Fire truck demonstrations will also be held.
