Asotin County Controlled Burning Period

This notice is for the unincorporated areas of Asotin County.

 

Asotin County’s Controlled Burning season for the fall of 2023 will begin at 9:00 a.m. October 15th, and run through 4:00 p.m., December 15th. Burning hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with fires needing to be completely out by 4:00 p.m.  Burn pile sizes are restricted to 4′ x 4′ x 3′ high. Citizens are encouraged to pick up a detailed copy of the burn restrictions at either the Asotin County Building and Planning Department in Asotin, or the Asotin County Fire District No.1 in the Clarkston Heights. The open burning line should be checked daily, prior to burning, to see if conditions have changed. The burn line number is 509-243-2002.

Please keep in mind Asotin County Regional Landfill’s ‘FREE yard waste disposal program’. A clean alternative to burning. Please call the ACRL at 509-758-1965 for details on allowable material.
