Avista Announces Resumption of Normal Energy Use

SPOKANE – Avista is pleased to announce that customers can now resume normal energy use. This follows a period of conservation requested by the company due to a mechanical issue with one of our natural gas suppliers’ equipment and extreme weather conditions.

“We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our customers for taking additional measures to conserve energy,” said Heather Rosentrater, president and chief operating officer. “We are deeply grateful for our customers’ understanding, cooperation, and efforts to conserve energy during this period. It was heartwarming to observe our customers take on conservation efforts that helped our communities make it through this challenging time.”

Avista remains committed to providing safe and reliable energy services. This incident demonstrates the strength and resilience of our customers.
