KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Lewis-Clark State Baseball team fell one spot to No. 9 in the latest NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 after a 6-2 record through the last two weeks. The Warriors are coming off a four-game sweep of the College of Idaho Yotes to improve to a Cascade Conference record of 13-3 and 23-9 overall.

LC State sits atop the CCC standings after the sweep of C of I. The Warriors have a tough test ahead with No. 2 LSU Shreveport (La.) in town this weekend for a four-game non-conference series starting on Friday.

The Warriors currently lead the Cascade Conference in slugging percentage (.499), walks (166), hit batters (72) and ERA (4.71). Jack Sheward is the top player in the conference in on-base percentage (.507), Carter Booth leads in doubles (18) and Dominic Signorelli leads in home runs (12). On the mound, Shane Spencer is at the top of the CCC in opposing batting average (.194). Seamons leads the team in batting average (.358) and Signorelli is slugging .748 with 40 RBI.

Both Oregon Tech and UBC are receiving votes in the national poll but sit just outside the top 25.
