CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jakob Marquez became the fourth different Warrior to be voted the Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week on Monday for his work in the series at Eastern Oregon.

Marquez had a monster weekend at the plate to help No. 13 LC State sweep Eastern Oregon in a four-game Cascade Conference series. The sophomore went 9-for-17 (.529) with five extra-base hits. He slugged 1.294 with four home runs and a double, knocked in nine runs and scored seven. The first baseman did not commit an error and was part of four double plays.

This is the first weekly award of Marquez’ career.

LC State has the weekend off before heading to Bushnell to close out the regular season April 28-29.
