Charter School in Lewiston getting ready to open their doors

Lewiston, ID- Lewiston will soon be home to another educational institution this Fall. Pinecrest Academy will be a tuition-free public charter school. At first they will be teaching grades kindergarten through fifth. With time they hope to expand those grade levels each year as the school becomes more established.

The founding principle for this charter school will be Mrs. Keefer. Mrs. Keefer has been in education for 28 years and has had experience in a variety of roles. From Elementary education to middle school and administrative positions, Keefer has extensive experience with a variety of different age groups.

For parents who have additional children enrolled in other school in the area, it is important to note that Pinecrest will have a similar academic calendar to all other Lewiston School District schools.

Pinecrest academy will be located at 1212 Ninth Ave, on normal hill. The close proximity to the Boys & Girls club hopes to add convince to those parents who need after school care.

Pinecrest Academy is currently taking applications to enroll students. Admission is a lottery-based system and is limited to 240 students in the initial start of the school year.
