City of Moscow Mural to be Removed Due to Vandalism

Moscow, Idaho—  The City of Moscow mural on the Moscow Water Building located at 120 W. A Street was recently damaged by vandalism on May 13th and 14th.  A suspect was identified by Moscow Police and has been cited with two counts of misdemeanor malicious injury to property. Unfortunately, the damage to the mural was significant enough that it is unable to be repaired. The mural was installed in June 2019 as part of the City’s conservation education program. A contractor will use a non-toxic, environmentally-friendly process to remove the mural. City staff will work on options for the City Council to consider for the potential replacement of the mural.
