Collision North of Coeur d’Alene Takes Life of Sandpoint Man

COEUR D’ALENE – Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred Friday, November 10, at approximately 3:10 p.m., on Lancaster Road at the intersection of northbound US 95, Kootenai County, Idaho.

A Toyota Tundra, driven by a 29-year-old male from Athol, Idaho traveling westbound on Lancaster Road through the intersection of US 95. A 74-year-old male from Sandpoint, Idaho was traveling on an E-Bike in a northbound direction, crossed onto Lancaster Road, and was impacted by the Toyota Tundra. The 74-year-old male was transported to a local hospital by ground ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries. The 74-year-old male’s next of kin were notified.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Traffic for westbound Lancaster Road and northbound US 95 intersection were blocked for approximately 2 hours.
