David Doeringsfeld Retires from the Port of Lewiston

Following a long career of public service and leadership, the Port of Lewiston General Manager, David Doeringsfeld is retiring effective February 1, 2023.

David has served as the General Manager of the Port for 28 years. As General Manager of Idaho’s only seaport, he has been involved in numerous transportation, economic development and natural resource related issues. 

Through out the years, David has coordinated and accomplished several Port projects including:
    – 2013 Industrial Dock Extension
    – The Development of the Business and Technology Park
    – The Sale of Land to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories
    – The Development of Southport Properties
    – Coordinated Wind Blade Projects and other Break Bulk Cargos
    – Development/Expansion of Port Fiber Optic Network

As well as earned a Distinguished Service Award from Pacific Northwest Waterways Association in 2021 and in 2022 was the recipient of the Idaho Grain Producers Association and Idaho Wheat Commission Industry Service Award.

Port Commissioners and Staff would like to congratulate David on his retirement and thank him for his years of service and dedication to the Port District.
