Drivers Transported to Hospital Following Head-On Collision on U.S. 12

KAMIAH – On April 6, 2024, at approximately 09:38 hours, Idaho State Police responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision eastbound on U.S. 12 near milepost 52 in Lewis County, Idaho.

A white Honda CRV, driven by a 72-year-old male, failed to maintain its lane while negotiating a curve. The Honda struck a white Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 57-year-old female. The driver of the Hyundai swerved, but the collision was unavoidable. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with injuries.

The roadway was closed and reduced to one lane for approximately 2.5 hours.
