Farmers Market Relocates for Homecoming Parade

MOSCOW —  The Moscow Farmers Market will relocate to the Jackson Street parking lot on Sat., Oct. 1 to accommodate the U of I Homecoming Parade on Main Street. The Market will maintain its normal operating hours of 8 am to 1 pm.

Main St. from D St. to Lewis St., including several side streets, will be closed to vehicle traffic to allow for the staging and commencement of the U of I Homecoming Parade. No parking notices and street closures will be carried out by the City’s Streets Department.

Per normal Market operations, Community Events Division staff will place no parking signage throughout the Jackson St. parking lot on Thu., Sep. 29. The three most northern parking bays will be reserved for Market Vendors, with a fourth parking bay reserved ADA parking. Individuals interested in using their EBT/SNAP benefits at the Market may do so with Backyard Harvest, who will be located in Friendship Square.

The Market will return to Main St. on Sat., Oct. 8 for the remainder of the 2022 season, which ends on Sat., Oct. 29 with a Halloween Costume Contest.
