On 10/30/2023 Asotin County Deputies responded to a two vehicle collision in about the 500 block of Fleshman Way, East of the 8th Street off ramp. When Deputies arrived they located an unconscious, unresponsive male occupant in a blue Dodge Neon car. Deputies attempted to gain access to the occupant when Medics arrived. The male subject identified as Dylan Houser, 30 year old male of Lewiston was transported to St Joseph’s Regional Medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation revealed that the Dodge Neon operated by Houser, was Westbound when for unknown reasons crossed the center lane into the eastbound lane. The Neon then collided head on with a Red Dodge Pickup and trailer operated by Brandon Carcas of Clarkston. Carcas and his passenger, Kyler Winn of Joseph, Oregon were transported to Tri-State hospital by a private citizen with what appeared to be non-life threating injuries. Washington State Patrol arrived and assisted with the accident investigation. At this time, it does not appear speed or alcohol were involved. Deputies along with State Police are continuing the investigation.
